Sensei Chris Coxall, aka "Jet Black," started his training with Shihan Johnny Madrid in the Queens NY branch of Purple Dragon International.
From his first day on the floor he made an impact on Shihan Madrid . After a few months of hard dedicated training he was placed in a leadership training group.
Of all the students in that particular group, Sensei Coxall took off. He exercised more and set higher expectations than his fellow class mates. Today, they all are different ranks but none has lived up to their expectations as have Sensei Coxall.
Sensei Coxall is a dedicated, loving, caring hard working, family oriented and upright individual. Sensei Coxall is a man of strong faith. He is a dedicated instructor who wants the best for all his students. He is an energetic, strong perfectionist. Sensei Coxall is a Forms and Weapons champion. When he teaches, he puts all his direction and focus in each student individually. When you watch his students train, that direction, discipline and focus is displayed in their training and desire for perfection.
Instructor John Gouge began his training with Purple Dragon in 2009 looking for a constructive avenue to release frustration and shed a few pounds in the process. Under the guidance of Sensei Coxall he found so much more than a workout routine and has since made Purple Dragon and the Georgia dojo his home away from home. A forms, weapons, and fighting champion, John is highly competitive and continuously strives for improvement in all aspects life.
Recently married, John is a committed individual who believes strongly in family and the proper guidance of today’s youth through discipline and structure. In 2012, John attended the 130th Black Belt Testing and achieved the Rank of Sho-Dan or 1st degree Black Belt. He has no plans of slowing in his training and is working diligently in the pursuit of his 2nd, and higher, degrees within the Purple Dragon organization.
